Trustees request trustee meeting before Stage 3 CSOS conciliation hearing. Have trustees lost there minds ?

By andrew church on Thu, 11 Jan 2018 at 14:20

During the Stage 2 Assessment the internal disputes mechanism processes that exist within the particular community scheme became FULLY USED. Therefore the processes advanced to Stage 3: Conciliation Formal Type with a conciliation hearing SET DATE with trustees present.
---------------------------
However the Trustees are now asking for a Trustee meeting to talk about the Stage 3: conciliation hearing. My Question is the following If the conciliation hearing DATE has been agreed to by the trustees? Why ask for a trustee meeting before the conciliation hearing meeting ? Keep in mind the trustees have agreed to attend the CSOS meeting ??

CORRECTION Trustees request trustee meeting with the OWNER BEING PRESENT before Stage 3 CSOS conciliation hearing. Owner had filled out an application and sent it to CSOS. Trustees want to now talk about this application with the Owner, before going to the CSOS meeting with the Owner. How normal is this request?

Good question. IMO it's absurd unless the trustees have transparently indicated that there is something positive to be gained/achieved by such a meeting, e.g. new information or some such thing.

The question to now ask is. Why did the portfolio assistant attempt to SEND such a request to the owner ? It would seem that the portfolio assistant is also willing to take on RISK ? As it now seems the request would have to be given to CSOS for their opinion ? This would happen before any such meeting could take place ? Reason being is that the portfolio assistant also wants to attend the Stage 3 CSOS conciliation hearing and make closing comments at the end ?

( request would have to be given to CSOS for their opinion ? )
==========
Assuming there is a Mini Government in place and there are Three Authorities in power ? The Portfolio person could advise the Leader of the Mini Government ? The Mini Government could then advise the puppet trustees to call a meeting ? This would then indicate that the Mini Government is HOSTILE to the CSOS, and is now attempting to apply their Authority over the Owner ? The big question now is. How will the CSOS chairperson respond once they find out about the Meeting ? It is possible to assume that CSOS could be unhappy about the meeting ? They could complain that the Portfolio person should NOT have sent the letter to the Owner ? They could also complain that the Trustees have agreed to a CSOS date ? So why are they damaging the process by slipping in another meeting sideways ?
