We are a Sectional Title Body Corporate with 20 units. Does our annual audit have to be a completed by a Registered Chartered Accountant?

INTRODUCTORY Interpretation

2. (1) In the interpretation of these rules, unless the context indicates otherwise —
(c) "auditor" means a person accredited to perform an audit in terms of the Auditing Professions Act, 2005 (Act No. 26 of 2005);
(n) "registered auditor” means a person as defined in terms of the Auditing Professions Act, 20015((Act No. 26 of 2005);

Annual and special general meetings

The order of business at general meetings is as follows:
17.(6) (j)(vi) appoint an auditor to audit the annual financial statements, unless all the sections in the scheme are registered in the name of one person;
