owner wants to put in a new window

By grant wilson on Thu, 10 Jan 2019 at 19:17

Owner wants to take out a wooden window frame that needs replacement. However he does not want to replace the wooden window frame with a new wooden window frame. He says he can get an aluminum window frame that looks like the same shape ?? He may also be able to match the color of the aluminum frame with that of the wooden frame that he is taking out??
My Question: May a single owner change from wood to aluminum when pulling out an old wood window ??
More information: Up to now no other owner has done this before. All window and door frames in the block of flats are currently wood. Thank you

No, owners and occupiers are entitled, without written trustee consent, to change the external appearance of the section or any exclusive use area except for minor changes that do not detract from the appearance.
