Repairs to Wall

By Ralwyn Jacobs on Fri, 27 Jan 2012 at 11:53

Dear STO,

Kindly advise on the folloiwng matter. I live in a sectional title complex Anfield . The trustees whilst doing their inspection of shrubbery and gardening, two weeks ago noticed that a single brick wall which surrounds a electice sub station next to my house is comming loose and that it will need to be taken down. They've done this. The problem now is that the two security gates which were bolted into this wall is suspended between the electric . In other words it the wall taken dawn is not going to be replaced as they deem the electric house walling to be adequate and they willl just paint it. I am now been told that in order to get the gates revited/bolted back into the wall would be at my cost. I cannot understand this as my view is that they undertook to do the repairs , they must have ensured that they repairs bring restoration to former. Please give advise in this regard as the trustees where I reside is of a very hostile nature and since the CSTM debacle , we have had had any external management of the complex , but instead affairs are dealt with through the Trustees. So advice is short and information not forthcoming. I even asked if insurance does not cover this, and was abrubtly told that ALL residents in the comlex musnt even think that there is money as they are going to impose speciall levies to take care of the complex. Please give advice?
PS: My email address has changed and is no longer ralwyn.jacobs@is.co.za
Please can whoever attends to this email also assist in changing it to: ralwynj@fidelitysecurity.co.za ?
Thank you for your assistance in this regard.
