Supervisor

By Leslie Witten on Thu, 26 Aug 2010 at 12:35

I have been a Supervisor on and off for a number of years. At the Trustees meetings I am asked to present my report and then leave so that the Trustees could continue with their business of the day. Is this correct? If not am I allowed to stay and could you please point me in the direction as to where does it says in the Sectional Title Manual that a Supervisor of a Sectional Title complex may stay at Trustees Meetings. I would appreciate this. Many Thanks Les Witten

In terms of the Sectional Titles Act there is no provision for you as an Employee of the Body Corporate (Supervisor) to be at a Trustee Meeting in your own right. The Trustees may allow you to attend to present your report and would quite within their rights to ask you to leave the meeting immediately thereafter.

Unless you are also a section owner (in which case you may attend, but not vote).
