Skew Window Frames

By Pieter Johan Momberg on Tue, 20 Mar 2012 at 12:33

Good Day
I just moved into a unit in a sectional title complex.
Some of the windows frames are skew resulting in the windows not closing properly.
On enquiry who is responsible - the managing agent told it is my responsibility.
Is this trye?

The seller is liable for any latent defects ion the property which existed at the time of conclusion of the sale even if he had no knowledge of it.When a latent defect is present the buyer can depending on the circumstances cancel the contract amd/or claim repayment of a portion of the purchase price.Discuss with the Estate agent whom sold the property to confirm if he/she was aware of this latent defect.
